Good question…the answer is no one. Charles Leadbeater talks about how innovation doesn’t always happen from the top down. Leadbeater’s message applies to B2B just as much as the consumer economy…maybe more so. B2B should listen to ideas “flowing back up the pipeline” from consumers, but should also listen to these ideas coming from throughout the supply chain.
Innovation may be happening on your customers line or in your own warehouse. Listening for this innovation, capturing it, and formalizing it within your organization could give you a cutting edge in technology, marketing, customer service or even accounting. Leadbeater comes down hard on big corporations but also outlines ideas for foster innovation within them.

The first so “mountain bicycle” was built in july 1965.
Its invention was documented that summer in the Chemeketan, a Salem Oregon hiking publication.
It was named a “mountain bicycle”. I made that mountain bicycle from a Columbia frame and fat motor scooter type knobby tires.
The “Klunkers”from which current mountain bicycles stem were developed in the 70′s.
